Portland Loo scores touchdown in Old Town.

The Portland Loo touches down.Yep, that’s right.  The long awaited Portland Loo touched down on NW Glisan Street at 5th Avenue on Wednesday morning, December 3rd.

Hats off to Commisioner Randy Leonard. We’re all looking forward to his First Flush on Monday, December 8 at 11 am.

On hand for the touchdown were Project Manager David Gray of the Portland Water Bureau, Loo designer Curtis Banger, and manufacturer Greg Madden of Madden Fabrication.

The solar powered unit is self-contained except for the water hookup.   Front door photo features view from the Steel Bridge.
